Keema Paratha Recipe – A Delicious Pakistani Breakfast Treat

Ingredients
For the Dough:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- ½ cup all-purpose flour (optional, for softer parathas)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Water (as needed)
For the Keema Filling:
- 250g minced meat (beef or chicken)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin powder
- ½ teaspoon coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons fresh coriander (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons oil
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine wheat flour, all-purpose flour, salt, and oil.
- Gradually add water and knead until a soft, smooth dough forms.
- Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare the Keema Filling
- Heat oil in a pan, add onions, and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies; cook for a minute.
- Add minced meat, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the keema is fully done and the moisture evaporates.
- Add garam masala, lemon juice, and fresh coriander. Let the filling cool completely.
Step 3: Assemble & Cook the Paratha
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out small discs.
- Place a spoonful of the keema filling in the center, fold the edges, and seal.
- Gently roll it out again into a round paratha.
